Mount Pleasant store clerk facing charges for selling pot, vape products to undercover officer

A Mount Pleasant convenience store clerk is facing charges after selling marijuana and vape products to an undercover police officer.       
Police say the store was located at 363 Elwood Ave. in Hamlet of Hawthorne.
Officials say the marijuana products were packaged in a way that would be attractive to children.
The clerk has been charged with unlawful sale of cannabis and operating an unauthorized vape shop.
The Mount Pleasant community has opted out of allowing any licensed cannabis dispensaries.
The store is currently closed.
