Some Mount Pleasant residents gathered in Hawthorne on Saturday to rally against development in the town.
The residents are concerned that the massive Amazon warehouse being built on Route 9A will create more traffic, air pollution and noise on an already busy road.
They are also pushing back against a plan to bulldoze Pristine Forest at Pocantico Lake to build what they call "mcmansions."
News 12 reached out to Mount Pleasant Town Supervisor Carl Fulgenzi, who said 50 of the acres will be preserved as green space. He added that another 18 acres will go to the town for recreational purposes.
This was the second rally that residents voiced their concerns about these developments.
