There is a new way to cut your utility bill if you live in the town of Mount Pleasant.
Residents there can now sign up for a new community solar program.
The go-green initiative involves placing solar panels at town hall, the community center and highway department.
Residents can subscribe to the project and earn a 10% credit on their Con Edison bill for participating.
Online enrollment runs through March 15, and residents will start seeing credits on their bill about three months after the final part of the project is completed later this year.
