yesterdayA man is facing arson charges after a fire in his backyard grew out of control.
Saugerties police say 22-year-old Nicholas Mitchell had a large pile of construction debris burning at his residence in Mount Marion.
Mitchell was burned while trying to put out the fire, which police say was nearly 20 to 30 feet from his place.
After being evaluated by paramedics, he was arrested for arson.Mitchell is expected to appear in court next month.
