Mount Kisco has received a $340,000 state grant to help consolidate police services with the Westchester County Department of Public Safety.
Officials say county police can provide more patrols at a reduced cost and save the village more than $2.4 million in the initial five-year contract period.
Village police who join the county police will be offered job-enrichment opportunities.
The Mount Kisco PBA has endorsed the proposal.
