A woman sightseeing with her family is dead after a car careened off Bear Mountain in Stony Point Wednesday.

Police say the family was driving on Perkins Memorial Drive on Bear Mountain when the father got out of the car to look at some scenery. According to investigators, the man turned and saw the car rolling off the cliff and taking a 100-yard plunge.

Hejin Han, 35, of Staten Island, was killed in the accident. The couple?s two daughters, ages 3 and 5, were still strapped into their car seats and escaped unharmed. Police do not believe Han was wearing her seatbelt.
