Get ready to enjoy a beautiful pair of days for today and tomorrow in the Hudson Valley! After a dreary start to the weekend, with patchy fog, drizzle and a cool feeling, temps will rise well above average for this first half of the work week under lots of sunshine. Temperatures are normally around 45 degrees this time of the year, but will trend about 20-25 degrees warmer for today & tomorrow.
Tomorrow is the Pick of the Week with mostly sunny skies and even warmer temperatures! Closer to the Long Island Sound shore will be cooler temps, but the further inland you go, the warmer the temps will get! Many spots will get into the low to even in the mid 70s! The record for Tuesday at White Plains is 77 degrees (2016) and while temperatures will get towards 70, the chance of record-breaking warmth is low.
Wednesday is when changes come towards the region. A slow-moving system will bring clouds then spotty showers through the day with a chance of scattered showers late in the day. Through Thursday though, temperatures will gradually cool down as showers continue to fall. There will be a change over from rain to a wintry mix to even some slushy snow for the day. Ugh!
