News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Meredith Garofalo says Sunday will see morning showers ahead of a sunny afternoon with temperatures in the upper-40s.
NEW: The record high temperature for the day was tied, 68° from 2021.
NOW: Temperatures drop after sunset and clouds increasing overnight with morning chances of rain.
NEXT: Very cold night ahead Sunday into Monday morning with a chilly week ahead with chances of rain and maybe, even brief snowflakes on Wednesday.
FORECAST:
OVERNIGHT: Clouds increasing. Colder. Lows in the 40s.
SUNDAY: Showers in the morning, higher elevations might have a little mix or even some brief lake effect snow, then peeks of sunshine in the afternoon. Cold Highs near 50 at midnight, in the 40s for most of the day. Lows: Upper-20s to low-30s.
MONDAY: A chilly start. Sunny and cool in the afternoon. A touch breezy. Highs: Upper-40s. Lows: around freezing.
TUESDAY: Partly cloudy with more clouds later in the day. Highs in the 40s. Lows: Near 37.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy with showers. There is a small chance we might mix from snowflakes in the early part of the day. Highs: Upper-40s. Lows in the 30s.
REST OF THE WEEK: A mix of clouds. Unseasonably cool weather continues. Highs in the 40s. Lows in the 30s.
