There are some new efforts statewide to boost regional and local economies. 

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced more than $15 million in regional economic grants for 19 different projects throughout the state. 

One of the recipients is Westchester County's Peekskill Facilities Development Corporation. It will receive $995,000 to transform the former city firehouse into a kitchen incubator. 

The kitchen incubator will serve as a pathway to create culinary jobs and small business opportunities for underserved individuals through partnering with Westchester Community College, Peekskill schools and the Peekskill private industry.
