Two more beaches in the Hudson Valley have closed due to concerns about harmful algae blooms.
The Mohegan Colony Association and Mohegan Beach Park District are both closed until further notice, according to the Westchester County Health Department. Both beaches are located on Mohegan Lake.
The health department issued the closures after identifying the presence of a harmful algae bloom in the lake.
News 12 previously reported that several Putnam and Dutchess beaches are closed due to similar algae blooms.
