Monticello man sentenced to 9 years in prison for sexual conduct against child

A Monticello man has been sentenced to nine years in prison for sexual conduct against a child in Middletown.

Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler says Anthony Villegas, 49, admitted to engaging in acts of sexual conduct with a victim under 13 at least twice between June 2010 and April 2011.

He previously pleaded guilty to course of sexual conduct against a child, Hoovler says.

During his court appearance last Thursday, he received the prison sentence along with an additional 10 years of post-release supervision.

He will also be registered as a sex offender under the New York Sex Offender Registration Act.
