The Bronx artist hit by two speeding police vehicles over the weekend is in a medical coma Sunday, his mother says.
Maria De Jesus says her son, Jason Cosme, was crossing Davidson Avenue when two cop cars responding to shots fired on 225th Street mowed him down. Cosme suffered head injuries and was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital.
Cosme's family says the accident was preventable and police officers should be better trained in emergency response on residential streets. De Jesus says officers have not yet apologized for the accident.
Cosme also survived being hit by a train almost three years ago, his mother says.
