City workers were forced to work out of their trucks Friday after mold concerns shut down their White Plains building.
CSEA Union officials say mold shut down the lower portion of 20 Ferris Ave. one week ago. The building houses the street light division and the White Plains Fire Department.
In a statement, a CSEA Union spokesperson says, "Once the mold was confirmed, workers were not allowed to re-enter the building without proper protective equipment."
Union leaders say the problem started with water seeping from the upper level of the building. They say the workers will continue to work out of their trucks until the mold issue is taken care of.
