A 3-year-old toddler is safe after being missing for a month.

The Westchester district attorney says the child and his mother vanished from a temporary housing facility.

An investigation by DA investigators covered four counties and two states, involving multiple police departments and social services agencies.

The child was found at his maternal grandmother's home in Queens, dirty but in apparent good health. He was taken to Westchester Medical Center for a precautionary evaluation.

The unnamed mother and her boyfriend were taken into custody on numerous outstanding arrest warrants for various larceny charges.
