Military members donned their uniforms and rallied in Pearl River Saturday to call on the government to retrieve the bodies of those who are missing in action.
Active and retired service members say with more troops being lost to the increasingly violent war in Iraq, it?s their duty to ensure soldiers get proper burials. These patriots also feel it?s important to remind Americans that some soldiers of past and current wars haven't made it home.
Vietnam veteran and former Spring Valley Police Chief Howard Goldin has made the fight personal. Goldin visited the American ambassador in Vietnam in 2005 and plans to go back next year.
The event at Central Avenue Field drew hundreds of supporters.
