We've dodged a bullet here as the weekend nor'easter stays just far enough away from NJ to prevent bigger impacts. The trend for this storm has allowed for confidence in the predictions to call for a more eastward track, pulling some of the heaviest snow farther away from the coast.
This limits the amount of snow south of Exit 98 to only a trace up to an inch or two possible way south in Atlantic/Cape May counties. Snow would fall mostly overnight Saturday and Sunday.
Winds will blow across the state up to 30 mph throughout Saturday overnight and early Sunday. Impacts are small, but an isolated power outage is possible. The other impact is for coastal flooding, which will be minor during the high tide cycle on Sunday morning near 6/7 a.m..
Aside from this, the weather will be very cold this weekend with temperatures in the teens and 20s during the day under a mostly cloudy sky. There shouldn't be many delays or impacts to travel during the daytime on Sunday.
Temperatures slowly "warm" to the lower 30s by Monday and linger that way through the midweek before cold returns for the next weekend.
