An Orange County man was sentenced for 18 years to life in prison for the fatal stabbing of a man he was hired to kill.
Damante Stansberry, of Middletown, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.
The Orange County District Attorney's Office says Enoch Lowe hired 25-year-old Stansberry to kill 53-year-old Jeffrey Harris.
Lowe had a long standing dispute with Harris.
Lowe paid Stansberry $15,000, plus some cannabis, to carry out the crime.
Lowe was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole on Thursday.
