A Middletown man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison followed by five years post-release supervision in connection with a shooting.
Orange County District Attorney Dave Hoovler says 28-year-old Naajib Jackson pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon for a shooting that happened in December 2022.
Jackson was apparently seen on surveillance video in Park Circle shooting another man and striking him in the leg, causing the victim injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Jackson also faces a concurrent term of eight years in prison after he pleaded guilty to criminal sale of a controlled substance.
