In an effort to keep riders healthy, Metro-North is now selling masks and hand sanitizer at vending machines at multiple train stations.

In an effort to keep riders healthy, Metro-North is now selling masks and hand sanitizer at vending machines at multiple train stations.
For months, Metro-North encouraged commuters to take precaution, and when possible, socially distance. The railroad has been disinfecting and cleaning trains once a day and stations twice a week since the pandemic started.
Riders can purchase the PPE at the Croton-Harmon, Dobbs Ferry, Fordham, Hastings-on-Hudson, Harlem-125th Street, North White Plains, Port Chester, Poughkeepsie, Rye, Southeast Tarrytown and Yonkers train stations.
Residents tell News 12 they hope commuters are proactive with buying what they need before boarding a train.
