Metro-North has unveiled significant changes at one station for some commuters in the Hudson Valley.

The agency's top management showcased new accessibility upgrades at the Purdy's station. These upgrades include a new elevator and a sidewalk compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Metro-North President Catherine Rinaldi said these enhancements will make it easier for commuters on the Harlem Line. She stated, "And now that we've got this fully accessible station, it provides opportunities for mobility for more of our customers, which is what Metro-North is all about."

Rinaldi said Metro-North has been carefully planning out improvements for the station for several years.
