        Metro-North service restored in the Bronx after pedestrian accident

        Metro-North service on the Harlem and New Haven lines in the Bronx has been restored Thursday following an accident involving a pedestrian.
        A Metro-North spokeswoman says a woman was struck and killed at 4:18 p.m. at the Fordham station on the northbound local track. As a result of the accident, northbound trains were bypassing Bronx stops.
        MTA police are investigating the death and an autopsy is planned. The victim's identity has not yet been released.
