If you want to avoid the roads all together this weekend, Metro-North Railroad is switching up its schedule for the holiday.

The railroad will operate its normal weekday schedule on the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven lines on Saturday. 

However, it's adding extra afternoon trains departing from Grand Central Terminal.

On Sunday and on the Fourth of July, Metro-North will scale back and run a Sunday schedule.
