Today was move-in day at Mercy College.
More than 300 students moved into the dorms on the Dobbs Ferry Campus today.
For newcomers that didn't have a lot of moving assistance, students and staff at Mercy were able to lend a helping hand. "There's about 40 to 50 of us from the college itself. Then we have the women's soccer team here to help out too," said staff member Leighann Demerco.
Besides bringing your pillow, desk lamp, and refrigerator, one student told News 12 there are some things no student should forget. "Bring your hygiene stuff, for sure, because you want to make sure you smell fresh," said Alex Aparicio.
Tuesday was just the first of three move-in days at Mercy, so it's guaranteed there will be a lot more heavy lifting over the next couple days.
