Police are remaining tight-lipped about an incident in Yonkers Friday afternoon that prompted the SWAT team to respond.
News 12 is told that officers surrounded an apartment building on Morningside Avenue around 4:30 p.m. Officers had reportedly received a call about a man with a gun on the third floor of the building.
They also reportedly received another 911 call about another man with a gun who had pistol-whipped someone and held several people hostage in the building's basement.
Two men were seen being taken away from the building in handcuffs. Their identities have not been released and it's unclear what charges they may face at this time.
Officials won't confirm that it was a hostage situation, but they were back on the scene Saturday to canvass the area and interview neighbors.
