3h agoLate actor and New Rochelle native Richard Roundtree was honored with a memorial in his hometown Saturday.
Roundtree is considered the first Black action hero for his role as John Shaft in the 1971 film "Shaft."
He graduated from New Rochelle High School in 1961.
Roundtree died in October at the age of 81. He is survived by five children.
