One of the world's largest cancer treatment centers has set up shop in West Harrison.

Memorial Sloan Kettering is opening a new 114,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art outpatient cancer facility. The center will be equipped with more than 30 doctors who are experts in treating cancer, as well as provide programs for genetic counseling, high-risk cancer screening and more.

Located on Westchester Avenue, cancer patients will no longer have to travel into Manhattan for often grueling treatments and doctor's appointments. Memorial Sloan Kettering has several of what it calls suburban cancer facility sites, including one in Sleepy Hollow, but the West Harrison location is its biggest to date.

The facility will officially open to patients on Monday.
