A woman is recovering after suffering burns when flames broke out late last night in her Yonkers home.
Fire officials say the blaze broke out around 11 p.m. at a two-story home on Hyatt Avenue. They say a mattress was on fire and the flames extended into another room on the first floor.
They say two people in the home were able to escape the fire but a woman had burns to her legs. She was treated on the scene.
Crews say it took more than 30 firefighters around a half-hour to get the blaze under control.
