Hundreds took to the streets in Yonkers Saturday pledging to end gang violence that has taken over the neighborhoods.
"We are committed to this cause and making sure all of our children are safe," says organizer Jim Bostic, who works with the Nepperhan Community Center.
The crowd marched throughout the neighborhoods surrounding Ghetty Square, which are known by police and residents as hot spots for drugs and prostitution.
Although crime rates are down 10 percent so far this year, just last week two warring gangs broke into a street fight where shots were fired on Stanley Avenue.
