Hundreds gathered Thursday in Purchase for an annual event that promotes peace and unity.
More than 300 people from different ethnic backgrounds gathered at the annual Thanksgiving Diversity Breakfast held at Manhattanville College. Rabbi Lester Bronstein says the event is designed to provide a great wide net of love, care and familiarity.
The event comes at a time when people are on heightened alert following the terror attacks in Paris.
The breakfast was co-founded by the American Jewish Committee of Westchester back in 2001 after the 9/11 attacks. It brings people of different races and religions together to form a bond within the community.
