A 58-year-old man was fatally struck by a B44 MTA bus during a hit-and-run in Flatbush on Saturday evening, police say.

It happened in front of 1754 Nostrand Ave., steps from a B44 bus stop.

According to the NYPD, emergency personnel responded to a 911 call about an unresponsive man in the road just before 8:30 p.m.

Sources close to the investigation say they discovered that the man had stumbled into the side of the bus, causing him to fall onto the road where the bus's back tires ran him over.

Paramedics rushed the 58-year-old to Kings County Hospital, where he later died.

Investigators say the B44 bus continued northbound on Nostrand Avenue following the incident.

Police sources told News 12 that it does not appear that the victim intentionally bumped into the bus.

News 12 reached out to the MTA for a statement and was still waiting a response as of Saturday night.

No arrests had been made and the man's identity had not been released as of Saturday night.
