A bar fight in New Rochelle ended last night with one man taken to the hospital with stab wounds.

Police say the violence took place near 316 Huguenot St. around 11 p.m.

One witness told News 12 the incident began in the El Sabor de Mi Tierra restaurant and then escalated on the street. "When the victim saw him going by he said "You hit me" and the guy took the knife and stabbed him. It was very fast," says Joel Irgueta.

The victim was cut in his left arm and face. Police say he was seriously hurt, but his injuries are non-life-threatening.

Police say they are looking for suspect who is described as large and Hispanic, and was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and brown shorts.
