A 34-year-old man is recovering after police say he was shot multiple times late Sunday night in Cypress Hills.

According to the NYPD, officers responded around 10:51 p.m. to 165 Crescent St., just off Ridgewood Avenue, after getting reports of gunfire.

The 34-year-old man had multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and left arm.

Investigators say he did not wait for an ambulance. Instead, he was taken to Jamaica Hospital by private means. Police say he is stable this morning.

So far, no arrests have been made. Police have not released a description of anyone they may be looking for.

It’s still unclear what led up to the shooting, whether the man was targeted or where exactly the gunfire started. Detectives are continuing to investigate.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
