Patrick Hermanowski, from Westbrookville, is charged with two counts of attempted murder of a police officer and criminal possession of a weapon.
State police say the 39-year-old shot at police in Deerpark on Sunday after troopers arrived there on a domestic call.
No one other than Hermanowski was injured during the gunfire.
