Yonkers police are investigating a shooting after a bullet came through the ceiling of a man's home and hit him.
Police say shots were fired at 7 Jones Place at around 3 p.m.
According to neighbors, the man was home watching TV with his son in his living room when he started feeling pain in his lower stomach.
Police and SWAT teams swarmed the block for more than an hour and had to clear the building before EMTs could move in.
Police were interviewing several people Thursday night to figure out who fired the weapon. As of now there are no arrests, and no one has been charged.
Neighbors say the victim is a retired man. He was conscious when he was rushed to Westchester Medical Center. Police say he is expected to survive.
