A 40-year-old man was found dead in a White Plains rooming house early Sunday morning.
Police responded to Park Avenue for a welfare check just after 6 a.m.
Police say there was blood on the scene and the body had wounds.
They say those wounds seem superficial and didn't cause his death.
The medical examiner is looking into that as detectives continue to investigate.
Anyone who may have seen anything unusual in the area early Sunday morning are asked to call police at 914-422-6111.
