Police say the body of a 47-year-old man was found floating in the Sloatsburg section of the Ramapo River Tuesday.

Authorities say they got a call about a possible drowning around noon after a woman walking down Waldron Terrace spotted the body in the river.

Dive teams from Stony Point and Thiells were brought in to search for the body.

A neighbor says the man lived nearby, but police haven't confirmed who he is.

Police are still trying to determine a cause of death.
