Police are investigating an incident where a man was badly beaten and thrown in a dumpster in Mount Vernon.
The man was found in a dumpster on West 3rd Street Wednesday night with lacerations around his head and face. The man told police he was in a fight with several people.
The victim was taken to Sound Shore Medical Center where he is listed in serious but stable condition. Police are waiting until he is in better condition to speak to him again.
