A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Metro-North train overnight.
MTA police were called to Peekskill's Metro-North train station around 3 a.m. after a report of a man being hit by a train traveling northbound on the Hudson Line.
According to police on the scene, the man was trespassing and walking in an area that's off limits to pedestrians about a half mile north of the station when he was struck. Metro-North officials describe the man as Hispanic in his 30s, but did not have any identification, so they are still trying to identify him.
Service on the Hudson Line was not suspended, but there is a possibility of delays as detectives conduct their investigation.
