A man drowned Sunday in the Delaware River in Sullivan County, according to state police.
Chirag Patel, 37, of Pennsylvania, was on a rafting trip in the Pond Eddy community when he went swimming and never resurfaced, police said.
Port Jervis Fire and Rescue later found Patel in the water, and he was declared dead at the scene.
