A man drowned in Lake Sebago at Harriman State Park on Sunday evening, authorities confirmed.

The incident occurred shortly after 6:30 p.m. near Seven Lakes Drive, according to Rockland County Emergency Services. Dive teams recovered the victim's body approximately 40 feet from the shore.

While officials have confirmed the victim was a male, no further details have been released. The investigation has been turned over to state police, who are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the drowning.
