A man barely clinging to life was dumped on an Eastchester street before dawn Monday, according to police.
Authorities say the 47-year-old victim was still alive when a patrol happened upon his body on Lispenard Avenue off California Avenue. Resident Joe Kern said the crime scene unfolded in front of his home.
"I didn't hear anything or see anything," Kern said. "I just opened my blinds and then saw that my driveway was all blocked off with police tape, and there were two police cruisers in the street."
The victim was taken to Lawrence Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police continue to investigate the incident.
