State police have released more details about the death of an 86-year-old man whose body was found Monday afternoon behind a home in Ellenville.
Police responded to 222 Briggs Highway at 3:50 p.m. after receiving a report of a man who had fallen into a pond.
Ellenville Rescue pulled the man from the water and performed life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not released the man's name.
