Village Manager and Budget Officer Jerry Barberio has announced a 4.2% decrease in the 2023 to 2024 budget for Mamaroneck.
Over the past five years, the village has experienced an average reduction of 2.1%, all while securing over $35 million in bonding.
Officials attribute this tax rate decrease to various factors, including effective analysis of economic trends and the treasury staff's informed revenue analysis.
In March, the village manager and clerk-treasurer will release the 2024 to 2025 tentative budget.
Subsequently, two public hearings and five work sessions for each village department will be scheduled.
