A man shot in an alleged road rage incident on the Cross County Parkway Wednesday afternoon is now facing charges after threatening a Homeland security agent.
Mamaroneck resident, Gilbert Bahamundi, faces charges of assaulting, intimidating and interfering with an officer.
The agent says Bahamundi was driving in an unsafe manner and heavy traffic forced the cars to stop. Bahamundi then got out of his vehicle and allegedly ran up to the agent's car window with a knife saying, "Do you want to get stabbed?”.
The agent fired at least one round striking Bahamundi in the torso.
Bahamundi appeared in federal court Thursday. His bond is set at $50,000.
