The mayor of Mamaroneck has his eye on running for a county office.
Norman Rosenblum has announced he is running for county legislator in the 7th District.
Rosenblum says he's seeking the nomination from various political parties.
"I emphasize that my seeking the endorsement of the various political parties is not to run against any particular individual, but rather run simply for the office of county legislator for the 7th District and serve the district's Sound Shore communities with public service not politics."
Rosenblum has been mayor in Mamaroneck for eight years.
