Mamaroneck man arrested for damaging businesses and a bus with a knife

A Mamaroneck man was arrested Friday for allegedly using a knife to vandalize businesses and city property, according to police.

Jeremie Preston, 35, damaged walls of local businesses and the interior of a Bee-Line bus, according to police.

Multiple calls reported the incidents around 7:05 p.m., authorities said. Preston also tried to follow a woman off the bus, officials noted.

Police took Preston into custody, and he was transported to a hospital for a mental evaluation, according to authorities.
