Mamaroneck fire crews save 13-year-old girl trapped in drainpipe

A teenage girl is safe after she was trapped in a drainpipe in Mamaroneck.
Police say a 13-year-old girl fell into a hole feet first on Old White Plains Road and Center Avenue Saturday night.
They say she got stuck up to her armpits and struggled to keep her head above ground.
It took the Mamaroneck Fire Department more than an hour to get her out. The hole had been left open as part of damage from the storm.
In the past three days, Mamaroneck EMS has responded to dozens of calls for service like this because of Wednesday's flooding.
Police say this rescue effort took several different agencies. They say the girl has minor injuries but should be OK.
The hole has since been boarded up and sectioned off.
