Active service members, veterans and community members marched down Mamaroneck Avenue in honor of Memorial Day.
Children ran up to shake hands with those in the parade as live music filled the street and American flags waved in the air.
"Freedom comes at a cost and everything in life, there's a price tag," says resident Mario Antonelli. "And we have to remember those who paid the ultimate price."
World War II veterans more than 100 years old were also praised by parade-watchers as they passed by.
