Police have investigated a possible child luring incident and are now calling it a "misunderstanding."

Initial reports say a man in a car questioned two children last night on Mapleshade Avenue in Pearl River. They say he was looking for a lemonade stand and claimed he had already spoken to one of the kids' sister.

The man drove off when an adult walked up to his car.

Police located the man in question and say the individual indirectly knew the people involved, and it was an innocent conversation with the kids. Police now say there was nothing criminal or suspicious about the conversation.
