An injured duck was rescued on the pedestrian path of the Mid-Hudson Bridge last week.
The New York State Bridge Authority says that Pickles, a lesser scaup duck, was clinging to life after being attacked by a bigger bird on the path of bridge.
A New York State Bridge Authority associate found her and reached out to maintenance personnel who came to the rescue.
Pickles is said to be doing great now - eating, drinking and making normal duck "messes."
She will most likely be released into the wild once her wound heals.
